Document Annotation Specialist – PDF

About the role

We are looking for a Document Annotation Specialist to work on PDF files for a fast‑growing AI infrastructure company serving Fortune 100 clients. You will create high‑quality annotations that train machine‑learning models to extract structured information from complex documents.

Key responsibilities

• Draw precise bounding boxes around entities such as text, tables, figures, captions, headers and key‑value pairs in PDF documents.
• Classify each annotated element according to detailed project guidelines.
• Maintain tight, accurate boxes and correct reading order across multi‑column layouts, forms, tables and rotated pages.
• Follow annotation standards consistently and flag ambiguous cases for review.
• Ensure confidentiality and comply with data‑security policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any field (technology, engineering or data‑related preferred).
• 6 months to 2 years of experience in data annotation or similar tasks (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex guidelines.
• Basic understanding of document structures such as text blocks, tables and figures.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks while maintaining high accuracy.
