Finance Associate (Mining Operations)

About the role

The Finance Associate will support the company’s financial management system, focusing on cost control, system setup, reporting, tax compliance, procurement and inventory for titanium mining operations. The role requires strong accounting knowledge and the ability to work both independently and within a dynamic team.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze mining operation costs, identifying reduction and efficiency opportunities.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining financial systems, processes and internal controls.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports.
• Support tax planning, preparation and filing in accordance with local and national regulations.
• Oversee inventory valuation, reconciliation and reporting.
• Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting, tracking performance against targets.
• Provide documentation and assistance to external auditors during annual audits.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and industry standards.
• Perform other finance‑related duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• CPA qualification is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software.
• Computer literacy for financial systems.
