Master Trainer for USAID Youth Advance (Liberia)

About the role

The Master Trainer will lead training and capacity‑building activities for Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS) staff and Youth Serving Local Organizations (YSLOs) across Liberia. Working under the Training Manager, the role focuses on delivering Training‑of‑Trainers (TOT) workshops that support the rollout of the basic education curriculum for Pathway 1 youth.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule, implement, and evaluate the integrated professional‑development program for youth trainers, MOYS staff, and YSLOs.
• Conduct capacity‑needs assessments and use findings to shape training outcomes.
• Identify, adapt, and support the use of training materials and curricula.
• Facilitate refresher workshops and on‑the‑job experiential learning sessions.
• Provide feedback on the relevance and usefulness of training modules and resources.
• Collaborate with the training team to ensure high‑quality implementation of USAID Youth Advance activities.
• Observe and strengthen linkages between Basic Education and the Work Ready Now / Be Your Own Boss curricula.

Required profile

• Proven experience in adult learning, training delivery, and capacity‑building within the education or youth‑development sector.
• Familiarity with curriculum implementation for out‑of‑school youth (Pathway 1).
• Ability to work collaboratively with government agencies, NGOs, and local partners.
• Willingness to travel across Montserrado, Bassa, and Lofa counties.
