Migration Health Officer – Professional (Monrovia)

About the role

The Migration Health Officer will provide programmatic management, coordination, strategic guidance and technical oversight to IOM’s migration health programmes in Monrovia, including emergency health operations and transition phases.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee IOM’s migration health programmes, including emergency health operations and transition phases in Monrovia.
• Ensure effective collaboration with the Ministry of Health, WHO, implementing partners and other health sector stakeholders.
• Supervise emergency health teams, manage programme budgets and guide project development.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Nursing, Medicine, Health Sciences, Public Health or related field with at least five years of relevant experience, or a medical degree with seven years of experience.
• Proven experience in managing emergency health programmes, resource mobilisation and working with international organisations and ministries of health.
• Fluency in English (oral and written); knowledge of another UN language is an advantage.

Required skills

• Monitoring and evaluation of health programmes.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong report writing and scientific communication.
