Financial Specialist – Special Projects and Major Grants

About the role

The Financial Specialist will manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for DRA and other major grant projects. Working closely with program and finance teams, you will ensure accurate financial data, timely disbursements, and compliance with donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting and budget revisions for assigned projects, incorporating forecasts and strategic priorities.
• Provide monthly and quarterly funding forecasts and track usage against budgets.
• Prepare and maintain donor‑compliant reporting templates and ensure timely submission.
• Conduct regular spending analysis, partner financial spot checks, and reconcile advance accounts.
• Coordinate PBAS commitments and credit SA transactions, ensuring accurate documentation for audit purposes.
• Maintain accurate financial records in the WVDRC SUN system and monitor compliance with donor and organizational policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for donor‑funded projects.
• Strong ability to collaborate with program teams, senior analysts, and external partners.
• Attention to detail in financial data management and compliance monitoring.
