Driver for Leaders In Teaching Program in Liberia

About the role

Education Development Center (EDC) is hiring two professional drivers to support the Leaders In Teaching (LIT) program in Liberia. The drivers will provide transport for staff, visitors and program goods, and will ensure safe and reliable vehicle operation in accordance with EDC policies.

Key responsibilities

• Operate EDC vehicles to transport goods, staff and authorized passengers safely, following all company policies and local traffic regulations.
• Perform daily vehicle maintenance, keep accurate fuel and usage logs, and report any faults or damage promptly.
• Submit monthly vehicle utilization reports and weekly control sheets, coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Assist with administrative and logistical tasks related to transport, as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary school certificate or equivalent, with proof of defensive driving training and basic computer skills.
• At least 5 years of professional driving experience, preferably with international donor‑funded projects.
• Valid driver’s license for all vehicle classes, clean driving record, and ability to drive 4‑wheel‑drive vehicles on unpaved rural roads.
• Fluent in English (read, speak, write) and strong interpersonal skills.
