Senior Platform Engineer (DevOps)

About the role

Social Discovery Group is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer (DevOps) to join its Customer IT Infrastructure team. You will help evolve the internal developer platform, CI/CD ecosystem, and cloud infrastructure that powers multiple high‑load social discovery products used worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
• Improve and support Kubernetes‑based production and pre‑production environments.
• Optimize stage and ephemeral environments for reliability, speed, and cost‑efficiency.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions with Terraform and Ansible.
• Enhance observability and monitoring using Grafana, OpenSearch, Prometheus, and VictoriaMetrics.
• Build internal developer platform tools and deployment services.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to accelerate delivery and improve developer experience.
• Standardize and optimize infrastructure and deployment processes across multiple products.
• Drive automation to reduce operational routine.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering.
• Proactive, ownership‑driven, and passionate about reliable, automated, scalable systems.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Extensive production experience with Kubernetes.
• Solid experience with GitLab CI/CD.
• Production‑level Go development experience.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
