Supply Chain Officer (Expedited Recruitment)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Supply Chain Officer for its Liberia Country Office. Working under the Chief of Mission and Resources Management Officer, the role supports the planning, procurement, warehousing, transport and logistics functions to deliver goods and services to beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply chain plans, budgets and procurement strategies in coordination with headquarters and regional offices.
• Conduct market research, assess logistics capacity and monitor commodity trends to inform decision‑making.
• Manage procurement processes including solicitation, evaluation, contract award, purchase order issuance and vendor performance monitoring.
• Oversee warehouse, transport, fleet and asset management, ensuring timely distribution of goods.
• Identify bottlenecks, propose process improvements and ensure compliance with IOM/UN procurement rules.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement or related field with at least two years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with four years of experience.
• Demonstrated experience in managing procurement and logistics operations and supervising teams.
• Fluency in English (oral and written); knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.
• Understanding of IOM/UN internal procurement and financial regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Oracle procurement system.
• Strong computer literacy.
