IT Systems Analyst – ASYCUDA Implementation (Liberia)

About the role

The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) is seeking an IT Systems Analyst to support the implementation and customization of the Automated System for Customs Data (ASYCUDA) in Liberia. The role involves developing new software modules, providing technical support to the Liberian Customs IT team, and producing comprehensive documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and program specific modules and features for ASYCUDA in Liberia.
• Provide IT support for ASYCUDA to the Liberian Customs IT team as required.
• Write technical documentation for ASYCUDA implementations in Liberia.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or a related field (or a Bachelor’s degree with two additional years of relevant experience).
• Minimum 3 years of experience with a Master’s degree or 5 years with a Bachelor’s degree in software development.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs for micro‑services architectures using Java, with frameworks such as Quarkus and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in front‑end development using JavaScript.
• Familiarity with containerisation tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Splunk) is desirable.
• Background working in an Agile environment and using Agile project‑management tools.
• Fluent English.
