SRE / Incident Ops Expert (AI Data Trainer)

About the role

We are looking for a remote SRE/Incident Operations expert to help train an AI agent that assists with incident handling in a B2B SaaS environment. You will label operational scenarios and justify your decisions, ensuring the AI respects privacy and least‑privilege principles.

Key responsibilities

• Review SRE‑style workplace scenarios, including executor role, task, cast, and attributes.
• Judge the appropriateness and visibility of AI agent attributes for each cast member (e.g., on‑call engineer vs. customer‑facing role).
• Label each scenario as yes, no, or undecidable, providing a concise, norms‑based justification.
• Apply structured guidelines consistently, especially in ambiguous or time‑pressured incident contexts.
• Ensure all decisions align with privacy, operational safety, and least‑privilege expectations.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in SRE, production operations, incident management, or technical operations within a B2B SaaS setting.
• Strong English writing and logical reasoning abilities.
• Familiarity with incident response workflows, escalation paths, post‑mortems, runbooks, and access provisioning.
• Comfort reading basic technical context such as logs, system symptoms, and service ownership without needing deep coding expertise.
• High attention to detail and ability to apply a rubric consistently.
• Experience with on‑call processes, paging/alerting, or operational communications is a plus.
