4th Engineer – Bulk Carrier (4‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified 4th Engineer to join a bulk carrier for a four‑month assignment. The successful candidate will support the engine department on a vessel flagged Liberia, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the main engine and auxiliary systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in monitoring and maintaining the MAN B&W 5L60MC main engine (9707 kW).
• Carry out routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
• Support watch‑keeping duties and record keeping in accordance with maritime regulations.
• Participate in emergency drills and respond to any onboard incidents.

Required profile

• Valid STCW certification and up‑to‑date medical certificate.
• COP III/1 endorsement and a USA CD1 visa.
• Good command of working English.
• Relevant sea‑time experience as a marine engineer.
