Finance Officer (Liberian Nationals Only)

About the role

The Finance Officer will support the Finance department in managing accounting systems, policies, and procedures in line with CRS standards, GAAP, donor regulations, and legal requirements. Working within an experienced finance team, the officer will help coordinate daily financial activities and ensure accurate financial reporting for programs serving vulnerable populations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and support documentation of financial transactions to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain data required for processing transactions in the Insight financial accounting package.
• Record delegated financial transactions following proper authorizations and detect irregularities.
• Evaluate sub‑recipient financial management processes and strengthen partner capacity.
• Prepare delegated financial reports as needed.
• Share information on accounting policies and procedural compliance with sub‑recipients and staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field; accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA) preferred.
• Minimum two years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in English.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Ethical conduct and ability to work collaboratively.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Insight financial accounting software.
• Knowledge of financial reporting software (a plus).
