Head of Legal (Chief Legal Officer)

About the role

Social Discovery Group (SDG) is seeking a senior legal leader to steer its global legal function. As Head of Legal, you will shape legal strategy, ensure compliance across more than 150 countries, and protect the company’s intellectual property.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute legal strategy to mitigate risks in contracts, IP, employment, and litigation.
• Maintain legal compliance with local laws, regulations, and corporate governance in every operating jurisdiction.
• Develop and implement IP protection programs for patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
• Lead legal risk management, including the formation of new entities and mitigation of associated risks.
• Oversee financial reporting compliance, coordinate external audits, and collaborate with internal compliance teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in a CLO or VP Legal role within an international organization.
• Fluent English (C1+) and preferably bilingual Russian.
• Deep knowledge of business, contract, employment, and intellectual‑property law.
• Proven ability to manage regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
