Data Analyst – Health Systems & MERL (Liberia)

About the role

Last Mile Health is seeking a Data Analyst to join its Liberia team. You will support evidence‑based decision‑making by analysing routine health‑system data and survey results, helping to strengthen community health programmes across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct data analysis of MERL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, Learning) routines and survey‑based data collection initiatives.
• Develop and implement research protocols and MERL plans, including learning questions, methods, indicators and targets.
• Contribute to the design of evaluation studies such as household surveys and oversee their implementation.
• Lead engagement with program teams to ensure MERL plans align with programmatic priorities.
• Adapt or develop data‑collection tools (surveys, interview guides, focus‑group guides) and manage their deployment and analysis.
• Share findings with program teams and stakeholders, using insights to refine strategies and improve activities.
• Support additional MERL activities as needed.

Required profile

• Experience analysing routine health‑systems and survey data for public‑health programmes.
• Liberian nationality and current residence in Liberia.
• Strong ability to collaborate with programme and MERL teams.
