Director of Operations – Liberia

About the role

We are seeking a passionate leader to drive operational excellence across our health programs in Liberia. Reporting to the Country Director, the Director of Operations will shape strategy, manage key functions, and ensure robust systems support impactful service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the annual operations budget and procurement plan aligned with program strategy.
• Lead the LMH Liberia Operations team, monitoring performance, addressing gaps, and fostering staff growth.
• Coordinate supply chain, facility, procurement, fleet, safety & security, and IT functions to support field activities.
• Serve as primary liaison with operational partners and vendors, ensuring effective collaboration.
• Provide real‑time coaching on technical skills, new procedures, and career development.
• Chair safety and security risk‑mitigation efforts, oversee training, and act as emergency contact.
• Validate county‑level procurement and logistics policies and monitor their implementation.
• Capture and share best practices with programmatic teams to refine operational systems.

Required profile

• Liberian national with extensive experience in operations management, preferably within health or humanitarian sectors.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive performance improvements.
• Strong understanding of supply chain, procurement, fleet, safety, and IT operations.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
