Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the role

Social Discovery Group (SDG) is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join its globally distributed team. You will ensure the quality of web applications, marketing landing pages, and multi‑channel communication products across a wide range of integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated tests for web applications and integrations using Java.
• Perform manual functional and integration testing, including complex marketing landing pages.
• Test multi‑channel customer communication products (email, web‑push, app‑push, SMS, in‑app).
• Validate integrations with internal services and external systems.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and documentation based on business and technical requirements.
• Detect, document, reproduce, and track defects.
• Analyze logs, troubleshoot issues, and support incident investigations together with development teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing automated tests with Java.
• Strong understanding of web application development and testing principles.
• Hands‑on experience with both backend and frontend testing.
• Experience in manual functional and integration testing.
• Familiarity with testing marketing landing pages and multi‑channel communication products.
• Good knowledge of HTTP methods, request/response structures, and status codes.
• Experience using Postman, curl, and traffic inspection tools such as Charles or Fiddler.
• Ability to analyze logs with Kibana or Graylog.
• SQL proficiency for writing queries and validating data.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and test‑management tools like TestRail or TestIT.
• Strong written and spoken communication in Russian and English.
