Procurement Lead

About the role

Plan International Liberia is seeking a Procurement Lead to oversee the procurement and supply chain function across its donor‑funded programmes. The role provides day‑to‑day supervision of the Country Office procurement team and ensures that all purchasing activities are efficient, compliant and aligned with programme needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the procurement team for all projects and grants.
• Ensure procurement processes follow Plan International corporate standards and donor requirements.
• Oversee the full procurement cycle – from needs assessment to contract award and delivery.
• Coordinate with programme managers to align procurement plans with operational timelines.
• Maintain accurate records, reporting and documentation for audit purposes.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and promote best practices in supply chain management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the humanitarian or development sector.
• Strong knowledge of donor compliance, especially GFATM, World Bank and other international funding rules.
• Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with programme and finance teams.
