About the role
PIH Liberia is seeking a Policy Specialist to lead policy analysis and health‑financing initiatives. Working closely with the Director of Policy and Partnerships, the specialist will position PIH as an evidence‑driven influencer of national health policy and strategic frameworks.
Key responsibilities
- Design and own PIH’s policy engagement strategy, including stakeholder mapping and measurable objectives.
- Represent PIH in Ministry health‑financing, planning, and costing working groups, advancing evidence‑based positions.
- Monitor, analyze, and conduct equity assessments of national health policies and strategic plans.
- Provide technical assistance to the Ministry on policy development, economic evaluation, and resource mobilization.
- Coordinate with clinical and program teams to ensure data, analysis, and financing insights inform policy development and budgeting.
Required profile
- Subject‑matter expert in health policy and financing with strong analytical and writing abilities.
- Proven diplomatic skills to build and nurture partnerships across government, civil society, and donors.
- Experience in monitoring and influencing national health policy processes.
- Ability to generate rigorous programmatic, operational, and economic evidence.
