Senior Project Officer – Savings and Internal Lending Communities

About the role

The Senior Project Officer for Savings and Internal Lending Communities (SILC) will coordinate and report on SILC programming, providing technical guidance to project staff and partners to ensure high‑quality implementation across the Country Program.

Key responsibilities

• Organize and lead implementation of SILC and SILC+Gender Transformative Approach activities according to CRS methodology and donor requirements.
• Coordinate SILC activities with project teams and implementing partners, offering technical guidance and ensuring consistent application of tools and procedures.
• Monitor field implementation, conduct quality reviews, identify challenges and advise staff and partners.
• Track financial, material and human resources, reporting variances to project managers.
• Facilitate capacity‑building for CRS staff, partners, SILC agents and community trainers.
• Support integration of SILC+GTA across sectors such as livelihoods, agriculture, health, youth, gender, resilience and humanitarian programming.
• Maintain accurate documentation, databases, success stories and reports in line with CRS and donor standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in International Relations, Business Administration or related field (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in project monitoring, data collection, and development of savings and loan programmes within NGOs.
• Proven ability to work with local partners, facilitate participatory planning and engage communities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Windows and MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
