Transport Coordinator – Logistics Operations

About the role

The Transport Coordinator ensures the smooth and efficient movement of vehicles and personnel across the organization. You will be responsible for planning schedules, monitoring fleet performance, and acting as the primary point of contact for all transport‑related matters.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily transport activities, develop and manage fleet schedules to maximize utilization.
• Monitor vehicles in real time using telematics GPS tracking, enforce policy compliance and respond to delays, route changes, or breakdowns.
• Assign drivers and vehicles based on availability and destination requirements.
• Evaluate and document contractor performance, resolve billing discrepancies, and maintain invoice records.
• Process Purchase Requests and Service Entry Sheets in SAP ERP and coordinate with finance for timely payments.
• Track staff overtime and attendance in the transport section, ensuring accurate reporting and approval.
• Maintain comprehensive records of schedules, invoices, fuel usage and mileage.
• Support weekly shop‑floor audit reporting, ensure regulatory compliance, and submit regular operational reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or transport operations.
• Strong organizational, analytical and decision‑making abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP ERP systems.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Experience with GPS tracking and transport management software.
