3rd Engineer – Reefer Container Vessel (3‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified 3rd Engineer to join a reefer container vessel operating under the Italian flag. The contract lasts approximately 105 days (3 months +/- 1) with a start date of 16 July 2026. This position offers a competitive net salary of €4,200 per month.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer and 2nd Engineer in daily engine‑room operations.
• Monitor and maintain main propulsion and auxiliary machinery, including the Sulzer 8RTA62U engine.
• Perform routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on mechanical and refrigeration systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards aboard the vessel.
• Maintain accurate technical logs and reports.

Required profile

• Valid STCW certification and up‑to‑date medical certificate.
• Minimum 12 months of sea‑service experience as a marine engineer.
• Good command of working English.
• EU nationality (EU candidates only).
