Finance Assistant

About the role

The Finance Assistant will provide comprehensive clerical and accounting support to the Finance Department, ensuring accurate processing of financial documents and contributing to high‑quality programs for vulnerable populations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and circulate standard financial documents such as vouchers, wire transfer requests, and checks using prescribed templates.
• Provide administrative support for financial transactions, including typing, photocopying, scanning, and filing documentation.
• Compile liquidation and receipt packages, communicating with staff, sub‑recipients, partners, and suppliers to obtain required documents.
• Enter financial transaction data into online databases after validation by senior finance staff.
• Maintain custody of sensitive documents like blank checks and fuel coupons.

Required profile

• High School Diploma with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ethical conduct.
• Ability to work collaboratively, meet deadlines, and provide excellent customer service.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Hands‑on experience with data entry into online databases and forms.
