Finance Manager – Tax & Accounting Supervisor

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead daily accounting operations, ensure financial integrity, and maintain compliance with all statutory obligations in Liberia. This senior position oversees tax filing, payment vetting, bookkeeping, and secure document archiving.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file statutory tax returns (PAYE, GST/VAT, Withholding Tax, Corporate Income Tax) on time.
• Monitor tax law changes to avoid penalties and ensure proactive compliance.
• Examine, verify, and approve payment requisitions, invoices, and vouchers, enforcing internal controls.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts, general and subsidiary ledgers, and perform regular reconciliations.
• Scan, index, and organize physical accounting documents into secure digital repositories while keeping orderly offline filing systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on accounting, tax administration, and supervisory experience.
• Professional certifications such as LIPCA, ACCA or equivalent are a strong plus.

• Advanced spreadsheet skills.
• Experience navigating tax portals.
