Junior System Administrator – Monitoring Team

About the role

Social Discovery Group is looking for a Junior System Administrator to join its Monitoring Team. You will work remotely, supporting the health of the company’s social entertainment platforms and ensuring smooth operation of Linux and Windows servers.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor product and infrastructure health, handling 150‑250 alerts per shift using Grafana and Zabbix.
• Analyze alerts, follow runbooks, and perform first‑level troubleshooting on Linux and Windows servers.
• Support senior administrators and participate in major incident response.
• Take ownership of the primary duty shift after onboarding, collaborating with a globally distributed team.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in system administration, monitoring, NOC or technical support.
• Comfortable working a rotating schedule (standard 5/2 shifts and 2/2 day‑night coverage).
• English proficiency at B1 level or higher.
• Attention to detail and a responsible work approach.

Required skills

• Linux command‑line operations (SSH/VPN, Bash scripting).
• Hands‑on experience with Zabbix and Grafana (metrics, dashboards, host groups).
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Basic understanding of monitoring concepts.
