Junior System Administrator (Monitoring Team)

About the role

Social Discovery Group is looking for a Junior System Administrator to join its Monitoring Team. The role is fully remote and focuses on keeping the health of products and infrastructure stable by handling alerts and supporting incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor product and infrastructure health, processing 150–250 alerts per shift.
• Analyze alerts using Grafana dashboards, Zabbix metrics and internal documentation, then resolve or escalate.
• Follow runbooks and perform first‑level troubleshooting on Linux and Windows servers.
• Support senior duty administrators and participate in major incident response.
• Take ownership of the primary duty shift after onboarding, collaborating with a globally distributed team.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in system administration, monitoring, NOC or technical support.
• Confident Linux command‑line skills (SSH/VPN, Bash scripting).
• Hands‑on experience with Zabbix and Grafana at the user level.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Willingness to work a rotating schedule (standard 5/2 and 2/2 day/night shifts).
• English proficiency at B1 level or higher and a detail‑oriented work approach.
