Accountant – Project Cost & Finance Specialist

About the role

MANSA RESOURCES is expanding its gold mining operations in Liberia and seeks an experienced Accountant to support the financial and cost accounting functions of the new project. Based in Monrovia with regular presence on the mine site, the role combines technical accounting work with hands‑on project cost control to ensure accurate financial tracking and regulatory compliance during the construction phase.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain full financial accounting records up to trial balance for the construction phase.
• Track project and social costs, monitor capital expenditures and support cost control reporting.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other statutory requirements.
• Manage fixed assets, capitalisation processes and cash‑flow reporting.
• Prepare financial statements, support audits and provide data for project performance monitoring.
• Liaise with operational and community teams to deliver timely financial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; ACCA, CPA or CIMA qualification preferred.
• 4–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in mining, construction or large‑scale project environments.
• Proven ability to manage accounts up to trial balance and handle capital project accounting.
• Fluent English.
