Grants & Resource Mobilization Associate

About the role

The Grants & Resource Mobilization Associate works as a key partner to the Diplomatic Club of Liberia, helping secure financial support by finding funding sources and writing strong grant proposals. The role works closely with the Executive Director and program teams to build a steady pipeline of resources through careful research and planning.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify funding opportunities at local, regional and international levels.
• Maintain a database of potential donors, foundations and development partners, and track funding announcements, deadlines and eligibility criteria.
• Help draft concept notes, grant proposals, expressions of interest and other funding documents.
• Develop project narratives, including objectives, activities, schedules and preliminary budgets.
• Analyze donor priorities so proposals match available funding streams.
• Create organizational profiles, capability statements and other fundraising materials.
• Manage a grants calendar and prepare supporting documents for each submission.
• Carry out due diligence on corporate and institutional partners and help prepare donor reports.
• Organize a digital filing system for proposals, donor communications and grant records.
• Follow up with prospective funders and propose ways to diversify funding sources.

Required profile

• Proven ability to research funding landscapes and donor priorities.
• Experience maintaining databases and managing project timelines or calendars.
• Ability to write clear project descriptions, objectives and budget outlines.
• Excellent communication skills for working with senior leadership and external partners.
• Flexibility to handle various tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required skills

• Writing and editing grant applications, concept notes and proposals.
• Proficiency with digital archives and document management systems.
