Programme Associate - Spotlight Initiative

About the role

The UNDP Resident Coordinator's Office in Liberia is recruiting a Programme Associate to support the Spotlight Initiative, a UN-EU partnership to eliminate violence against women and girls. The post provides programme implementation support, stakeholder engagement, advocacy, knowledge management, reporting and results tracking, supporting the Spotlight team in the Resident Coordinator's office and, as needed, the technical teams in UNDP, UNFPA and UN Women.

The role works under the direct supervision of the Spotlight Initiative Programme Specialist/Coordinator and collaborates with other members of the Spotlight Initiative Programme Management Team.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up programme workplans, activities, decisions and commitments, and support tracking, planning and management review processes
• Organise meetings, prepare agendas, briefing materials, presentations, minutes and action trackers, and maintain a repository of decisions and action points
• Support stakeholder engagements, advocacy initiatives, donor missions and programme reviews, and maintain stakeholder databases and partnership records
• Prepare advocacy materials, briefing notes, position papers and success stories, and compile RUNO inputs for reporting
• Help write progress reports, donor reports and management information products, and contribute to knowledge products on results and impact
• Provide logistical and administrative support for workshops, trainings, missions and meetings, including travel, procurement and records management
• Coordinate event logistics such as venues, accommodation, catering, registration and invitations, and keep event records
• Monitor delivery against workplans and results budgets, and flag delays and outstanding actions
