Policy and Research Intern

About the role

This full-time Policy and Research Intern position sits within a management consulting firm and covers administrative, technical and business development support. The intern works under the guidance of senior staff and supports project design, implementation and proposal work.

Key responsibilities

• Track and record office and project expenses, help prepare invoices and payment requests, and keep financial and administrative records up to date.
• Support coordination of office utilities, supplies and logistics, and help organize meetings, workshops and field missions, including scheduling and venue arrangements.
• Provide event planning and documentation support for project activities and maintain organized filing systems.
• Conduct background research and data gathering for project design and implementation.
• Draft concept notes, progress reports and preliminary technical documents for review by senior staff, and attend stakeholder and technical meetings to take minutes.
• Organize and coordinate webinars, virtual events and capacity-building sessions, and liaise with the Nextier Nigeria office on backstopping tasks.
• Maintain project databases and contact lists, and contribute to internal knowledge management and information sharing.
• Support searches for business opportunities such as tenders and calls for proposals on donor and government websites, compile bid documents and help maintain a database of opportunities.
