Assistant Accountant – Finance Team (Liberia)

About the role
MANSA RESOURCES, a growing mining company operating gold assets in West Africa, is expanding its new gold mining project in Liberia. The Assistant Accountant will support the Finance Department in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions for the on‑site organization.
Key responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices and manage payments (Accounts Payable).
- Maintain the cashbook and oversee daily cash flows.
- Administer petty cash, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation.
- Support tax compliance and ensure adherence to statutory requirements.
- Assist procurement activities and provide financial data for project decisions.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in accounting or finance support roles.
- Proven experience in accounts payable and reconciliations.
- Experience in mining, construction, or project environments is an advantage.
- Fluent English communication skills.
Required skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles.
- Basic understanding of tax and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.
- Effective communication and teamwork.
