Communication Specialist – Global & Country Strategy

About the role

The Communications Specialist will support Partners In Health’s visibility and engagement in Liberia by promoting the organization’s mission, values, achievements and impact. Working as part of the global Marketing and Communications team and the PIH Liberia executive leadership, the role creates audience‑focused content that advances the global communications strategy and strengthens country‑level storytelling.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a country‑specific communications and content strategy aligned with PIH priorities.
• Write, edit and publish content for print and digital platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and the PIH Liberia website.
• Produce multimedia assets such as photo stories, short videos and human‑interest features that showcase program impact.
• Design and update visual materials – infographics, maps, presentations and other graphics – to support storytelling.
• Build and maintain relationships with regional journalists and media outlets; coordinate site visits and interviews for external communications personnel.
• Manage a centralized repository of photos, patient stories, testimonials and success stories.
• Provide writing, design and photography support for donor and partner communications, including case studies and impact initiatives.
• Create visually engaging PowerPoint presentations for internal and external audiences.
