Driver (G-2) – Monrovia

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a reliable Driver (G‑2) to support its mission in Monrovia. You will be responsible for safely transporting staff, migrants and official documents while ensuring the assigned vehicles remain in optimal condition.

Key responsibilities

• Drive assigned IOM office vehicle(s) and select the safest, most direct routes.
• Perform daily vehicle checks (tires, brakes, oil, fan belt) and arrange minor repairs.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and schedule regular service intervals.
• Keep accurate records of spare parts, mileage, fuel consumption and prepare monthly reports.
• Ensure vehicles are used solely for authorized official business.
• Meet officials at airports and assist with immigration and customs procedures.
• Collect and deliver mail, documents, and other items to and from the office, post office, government agencies, UN partners and project sites.
• Provide basic clerical support such as answering calls, photocopying and record‑keeping.
• Uphold confidentiality and take actions to mitigate security risks during transport.

Required profile

• High school diploma with at least 2 years relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree.
• Valid national driver’s licence.
• Mechanical certificate is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
