Finance Manager

About the role

FHI 360 is seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial operations for the EpiC Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health (MNCH) project in Liberia. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, month‑end reporting, and ensuring compliance with USG and Liberian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee data collection, ensure accuracy, and interpret analyses for decision‑making.
• Prepare and submit monthly financial reports comparing budgets to actuals and forecasts; present findings to leadership.
• Finalize financial reports and supporting documentation for funders under the finance lead’s supervision.
• Develop and maintain a commitment tracker; coordinate invoice processing and timely retirement of commitments.
• Review program advances (travel and non‑travel) twice monthly, follow up with staff, and ensure advances are retired within 30 days.
• Monitor all budgeted project expenditures against the work plan and forecast.
• Validate daily financial system entries for correct charge codes and descriptions; correct errors before month‑end close.
• Maintain up‑to‑date financial records for the project.
• Collaborate with the Finance Lead to determine resources needed for project deliverables and ensure budgets align with project needs.

Required profile

• Experience managing financial operations for large development or health projects.
• Knowledge of USG funding rules, Liberian financial regulations, and risk‑management practices.
• Proven ability to prepare accurate month‑end reports and financial statements.
• Strong analytical skills for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project and finance teams.
