Programs & Youth Engagement Associate

About the role

The Programs & Youth Engagement Associate advances the Diplomatic Club of Liberia's mission by supporting youth leadership, diplomatic training, civic participation and sustainable development initiatives. The role reports directly to the Executive Director and works with the wider programme team to run events smoothly and engage young participants deeply.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and run youth leadership and diplomatic skills initiatives end to end
• Coordinate logistics for summits, dialogue sessions, conferences, workshops and community outreach events
• Manage participant engagement from recruitment and registration through communication and follow-up
• Maintain participant and programme databases and records
• Draft agendas, briefing packets, attendance logs and programme reports
• Act as main contact for youth attendees, speakers, facilitators and partners
• Oversee event logistics and record outcomes, activities and feedback
• Monitor progress, compile reports and identify youth representation in national, regional and international forums
• Suggest ways to improve youth engagement and carry out other programme tasks

Required profile

• Proven ability to plan and run youth-focused leadership and diplomatic programmes
• Experience coordinating large events, summits and workshops
• Experience in participant management and conference and community event logistics
• Proactive, creative and flexible, able to handle varied tasks
